About

Drip Audio was created in the spring of 2005 in Vancouver, BC.

The idea for this record label is to release albums that do not cater to any specific musical genre and are unique artistic creations.

Drip Audio has now released 44 albums and more are on the way. The root of the recordings stem from Vancouver's creative music scene, although there are musicians from Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, London (UK), New York and Los Angeles involved as well. We are excited with the direction of the label and hope you dig the music!

In 2022 Drip Audio expanded its role into a full-fledged music production company producing albums as well as music for film/tv and multimedia dance productions.

Eighteen years of history

We have a long history of collaboration with creative and artists from Vancouver and across the world. The initial Drip Audio releases stemmed from the Vancouver creative music scene that primarily existed in the now long defunct underground venues The Sugar Refinery and 1067. These venues were located one block away from each other with back alley entrances and Granville street addresses in downtown Vancouver. Our first website launched in 2005 and was designed by renowned artist Andy Dixon. Drip Audio album artwork features images from some of Vancouver’s (past and presently based) most loved photographers and graphic artists including Jessica Eaton, Lee Hutzulak and the aforementioned Andy Dixon. Here’s a look at Drip Audio’s history.
